A video of some Muslim women wearing burqas and dancing to some objectionable music is doing rounds on social media. This video is from Independence day i.e, August 15th, where a group of ten women from Talimuddin Niswan (Girls) degree college in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh are dancing to the tunes of a song that glorifies the “purdah” system of Islam and declares anybody opposing it as an enemy.
Some unpleasant words like “zaalim”, “hijra” and “kutte” are clearly heard in those songs, which seems like a target on the non-Muslim followers that are Hindus.

After the video clip went viral, some activists of the Hindu Jagran Manch filed an FIR at the Mau police station and met CO city Dhananjay Mishra to demand action against the school and all those who danced on such “talibani” songs.
District president of Hindu jagran Manch Atul Rai stated that, “With the intention of spreading peace and religious frenzy in the district, a dance-music programme was organized on Independence Day on Talibani songs at Talimuddin Niswan Degree College in Mau Nagar area. Indecent things were said about our Hindu religion and culture in this dance. Also, the followers of Hindu religion were called eunuchs.”
Mau Superintendent of Police Avinash Pandey later released a statement that, “A case has come from light from Talimuddin Niswan college where some girls gave a performance, in which some objectionable remarks were made on other religions. Hindu organisations have given a complaint regarding it. We have filed a case based on the complaint. We have deployed an officer to investigate the matter. We have also prepared a plan on how to proceed in the case, including what to ask the girls if they are minors or if they majors, and what to ask the college management”
At a time when women around the world are actively denying the system of wearing hijabs by burning it, like the case in Iran. There are still some regressive mindset people who think that promoting such acts glorifies their religious beliefs. In reality, these minority institutions are focusing less on the education and more on brainwashing the younger generations.
