The Indian Embassy requested Indian nationals who have not yet registered to do so by submitting their details through the link provided in the social media post.
According to the reports, Iran’s attack came after Israel’s killing of around seven senior commanders from Hezbollah, Lebanon’s militant group, over the past week. In response, Israel escalated the situation by launching what it described as a limited ground operation in southern Lebanon, targeting the Iran-backed group. Since the Gaza war began in October last year, Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel.
Meanwhile Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated “Iran made a big mistake tonight – and it will pay for it,” he said at the outset of a political-security meeting.
