A report by the Times of India states that a Hindu father-son duo and a Hindu cop had to wear clothes with ‘Muslim symbols’ to escape violence in Mewat’s Nuh. As per the report, the trio took refuge in a Muslim family’s home in Nuh Chowk as violent Muslim mob came baying for their blood on Monday afternoon. As per the report, the Muslim family let them stay inside and provided them food.
Later in evening when the Muslim mob had dispersed, the Hindu father-son duo were given t-shirts with ‘Muslim symbols’ and the cop was given a burqa to wear for their ‘safety’ so that they can reach home safely.
As per the report, Sohna residents Karan Singh and his son Vivek had gone to Nuh to see a plot. When they were returning in their car, they saw the Jalabhishek Shobha Yatra and decided to participate in it. They travelled a few kms with the procession when it was attacked by a Muslim mob in what now appears like a well planned conspiracy. The duo were dragged out of their car and thrashed with sticks. They then ran for their lives only to be saved by a family of Muslims who assured them safety.
Few minutes later, there was a knock on their door when a female cop was running to save her life from a mob pelting stones at her. The family gave them food and first aid, the Hindu father-son claim. Later, when they returned to their car wearing t-shirts with ‘Muslim symbols’ they found it was burnt down. A police team then escorted them home.
Mewat Violence
On 31 July, 2023, a Jalabhishek Shobha Yatra was carried out on Somvaar of Shravan month in Nuh in Mewat region of Haryana. However, in what now appears like a well planned conspiracy of local Muslim residents, the procession came under attack where stones were pelted and shots were fired at the procession. The Pamphlet investigation has revealed how the procession as well as police movement was being tracked online on Facebook because of a social media rumour that Monu Manesar, a suspect in death of two Muslim youth from Mewat, was expected to participate in Shobha Yatra. Threatening messages against Monu Manesar were also posted on social media.
