Sometimes, it is confusing, what is the real purpose of the Bharat Jodo Yatra? Is it supposed to create a ‘Gandhi’ wave in the country, or is it just a soft narration of Chinese tactics? Ever since the Yatra, supposed to cover the geography between Kerala to Kashmir, Gandhi has tried to create many narratives. From insulting Veer Savarkar to disrespecting the Indian Armed Forces, he has done it all in the past four months.
In a new video on his official YouTube channel, the leader interacted with Armed Forces veterans citing that, ‘China and Pakistan have come together if there will be any war then it will happen with both, so there will be a major loss for the country. India is now extremely vulnerable.’
According to a Chinese government-affiliated media, China had recently urged India to meet halfway, abide by the spirit of the relevant agreements signed by the two sides, and jointly maintain peace and tranquillity in the border region.
Rahul Gandhi’s thought that India is ‘extremely vulnerable’ is beyond understanding.
The Two and A Half War
Late CDS Bipin Rawat coined the term ‘Two and a half war’, a war against Pakistan, China, and a siege within India. How can a siege within the country be defined? The half-war here means fighting the insurgency, cross-border terrorism, Naxalism, and communal riots within the country. While the Indian Armed Forces seem ready for anything, fighting all at once may be challenging.
Rahul Gandhi in the same video stated that the two-and-a-half front has become a ‘united front’. A hard fact is that yes, China and Pakistan can be counted as a united front, but is the leader hinting that the siege within the country has merged with the enemy?
Allegations Against the Indian Army
This isn’t the first time the Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has made allegations and insulted the Indian armed forces. During International Yoga Day 2019, Rahul Gandhi tweeted a pic of ‘Army Dogs’ sarcastically stating ‘New India’, for which he was criticized in the country. These remarks kept on coming during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, surgical strikes, and more.
In his recent video with Army veterans, Gandhi said that ‘2000 square kilometres of Indian territory are under China, killed 20 Indian soldiers and they are ‘beating our jawans in Arunachal Pradesh.’
While he was refuted by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, such statements by a national leader does hit the morale of the armed forces. They also lead to the circulation of fake news in the country against what the forces and government say. Apart from these statements, the spirit of Indian armed forces passionately defending the country even in freezing weather can be seen in several verified viral videos, can Gandhi deny that as well?
India’s Economy Is Falling Since 2014, while China prospers
Another misleading comment by Rahul Gandhi states that China’s economy is prospering while India’s economy is falling since 2014. Well, one cannot blame Gandhi for not keeping up with important developments while he is busy walking the streets of India with struggling actors and comedians. According to some reports, India ranked 10th in the year 2014, but recently the country surpassed the United Kingdom to become the 5th largest growing economy in the world.
India to be ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, envisions being a 5 trillion dollar economy by the year 2027 by many experts. While China is facing a severe economic crisis after the fall of ‘Evergrande’ and is now seeing about one million Covid cases per day in just a single province.
Gandhi’s MoU With China
In the year 2008, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian National Congress party of India, more importantly with Gandhis. The MoU was signed strictly on a party-to-party basis, which surprised the Supreme Court of India as well which asked; how can a political party sign an MoU with another political party of a nation which is not democratic? It was said that the MoU will provide the parties an opportunity to consult each other on bilateral, regional, and international issues. Shouldn’t such an MoU be signed with a national government?
The contents of the MoU are still unknown, but can creating absolute unnecessary havoc in the country be a part of it?
